DARREN HANSON,
Sales Director - Environmental Solutions, Xylem UK

Darren Hanson leads the Xylem Environmental Solutions team in the UK and Ireland. He has over 30 years of experience working with senior scientists and water quality experts worldwide to deliver the right solution on time and to the client’s specifications for brands including YSI, SonTek, and Aanderaa.

Darren began his career with YSI in 1992, joining as a Service Engineer providing repairs to the component level, progressing to his current position as General Manager for Xylem Analytics UK. Darren has been responsible for the consultation, design, and specifying multiple real-time environmental monitoring solutions worldwide.

He spends his spare time with family and friends and is passionate about working on and riding motorbikes, live music, and campervans.


JAMES CHAPMAN,
Business Development Manager - Environmental Solutions, Xylem UK

James Chapman joined Xylem in February 2023 to lead Xylem’s efforts to support Utilities complying with the Environment Act 2021. James has over 13 years of experience in the industrial, municipal wastewater, and environmental monitoring industries. At Xylem, James is the project lead for Environment Act YSI EXO Sonde trials for the water companies & their partners. Following customer feedback, he collaborates with Engineering and R&D teams on advancements to our technologies and cloud-based platforms. He also works with Marketing on social media campaigns & case study articles, plus serving as technical support in the field. You can often find him at tradeshows and conferences too.

James has a BSc in Environmental Management & Physical Geography from the University of Worcester, where he wrote his thesis on the impact of sewage effluent on a receiving watercourse.


NATE CHRISTOPHER,
Marketing Communications Manager

Nate Christopher joined Xylem in 2017 in a marketing communications role for some of Xylem’s leading brands including the YSI. He works with product management and the larger marketing team to create literature, videos, and events for our water quality instruments. He has a B.F.A. in Visual Communication Design from the University of Dayton.
