Job Description    
To produce defect-free product per the written process while meeting production requirements.

Major Responsibilities 

  • Build product per written process
  • Work with manufacturing engineering to resolve problems and make process improvements
  • Initiate product change notices (PCN’s) when routing or bill of material is not in agreement with process or shop order
  • Work with planner and material handler to meet delivery requirements
  • Work as part of a team

Additional Responsibilities 

  • Keep work area clean and organized
  • Follow ISO standards
  • Maintain on-floor inventories and pull parts for shop orders
  • Training and mentoring as required
  • Maintain calibration of equipment per schedule
  • Participate on new product teams as requested
  • Attend and participate in monthly business center and business unit meetings

Required Experience / Qualifications

  • Good hand-eye coordination skills
  • Must be able to read and understand written process
  • Basic math and measurement skills
  • Soldering skills
  • Computer literate (able to use computer to enter or retrieve data or perform other similar functions)
  • Basic electronics background
  • Must be able to lift 30 pounds.

Desired Skills

  • Follow open shop order report and process
  • Fill out weekly time commitment sheet
  • Communicate problems to manufacturing engineers or planner as appropriate
  • Work with material handlers to have transactions closed as completed and material transacted as used
  • Document reasons for late shop orders
  • Turn in reorder tickets to material handlers
