Job Description
Performs a variety of tasks such as assembly, checkout, troubleshooting, and repair of analytical equipment using a variety of hand and power tools and equipment.​

Job Specifications and Work Performed

  • Performs various tasks such as assembly, checkout and troubleshooting of analytical equipment using various hand and power tools.
  • Understands and applies concepts of current company mission, beliefs and values, objectives and strategy statements to accomplish specific agreed upon goals.
  • Performs cleaning operations utilizing various methods at the workbench and using solvents in sonicator located in one of the clean rooms.
  • Performs electro-mechanical validation and verification of analytical equipment.
  • Performs test and checkout operations as documented by the appropriate ISO procedures and checklists.
  • Troubleshoots failures and implements corrective actions.
  • Acts as the primary resource for information from their respective work areas.
  • Advance troubleshooting and Failure Analysis responsibilities.
  • Performs appropriate transactions such as stock requisitions and Bill of Materials (BOM) for control of material, inventory and non-conformance reports (NCR) for defective materials.
  • Adheres to safety guidelines and hazardous material instructions.
  • Time management.
  • Responsible for being the point of contact within their respective product lines.
  • Plans, organizes and implements schedules and deadlines as set forth by the Production
  • Reports to a Supervisor or Manufacturing Manager.
  • Responsible for completing assigned jobs by the scheduled due dates.
  • Ensure product specifications and tolerance levels are met.
  • A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected

Additional Responsibilities

  • Maintains work area in a neat and orderly manner at all times.
  • Participates in group problem solving and corporate task force initiatives.
  • Monitors ISO procedures and recommends changes when required using the approved ISO process.
  • Performs such other duties as may be required.

Required Experience / Desired Skills    

  • Documentation experience necessary.
  • Computer experience using PC based platforms.
  • A 2-year chemical, mechanical or electrical technical degree or 7-years or more of practical experience or any combination of acceptable training and experience.
  • Computer literate.
  • Well organized and self motivated.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and priorities.
  • Ability to communicate effectively when troubleshooting or recommending changes to existing products.
  • Ability to perform arithmetic computations accurately.
  • Ability to train other personal
